Writing

I keep a blog at blogguerz.wordpress.com, where I document my coding journey, share photos, and write about whatever I'm working through.

guerz.lol — The Training Ground

guerz.lol is my live, work-in-progress sandbox — a real site I'm building and rebuilding as I learn. It's where I apply new web development skills in public, break things, and figure out how to fix them. Consider it a snapshot of where I am on the road, updated as I go.

The Coding Journey

I'm teaching myself full-stack web development through a self-built, self-administered 16-week roadmap. I'm currently in Week 3, working through HTML and CSS fundamentals on freeCodeCamp and W3Schools. From here I head into JavaScript, then Python, then deploying full-stack apps. This page is one of the first things I've built on that road.

Arts: Beyond the Code

Cinematography and film have been a lifelong passion of mine — the way a single frame can carry story, mood, and meaning has pulled at me for as long as I can remember. I'm channeling that into a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Cinematography at Full Sail University, through their accelerated, fully online program.

Music and DJing

I've been DJing for over a decade, spinning a mix of what I call Genre-Fluid and Diaspora Bass Music. Music is a huge part of my life and I'm always looking for new ways to express myself creatively.

{decompress}

I'm the founder of {decompress}, a music and arts collective that started local and has since grown into a global community. My goal is to elevate it into a registered non-profit artist collective — giving artists a sustainable, transparent platform to create and thrive — most likely through Open Collective.
